SCAT seeking community feedback during upcoming workshops

Comments sought on recommendations offered in department’s comprehensive operations analysis

Staff members of Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) will conduct workshops across the county this month to seek public comments on draft recommendations produced through SCAT’s comprehensive operations analysis, county staff has announced.

These workshops will be used to obtain feedback on which changes should be considered for implementation throughout the system, a county news release says.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Workshop No. 2: Wednesday, April 20, 10:30 a.m. to noon, Jack J. Geldbart Auditorium in the Selby Public Library, 1331 First St., Sarasota.
  • Workshop No. 3: Wednesday, April 20, 2-3:30 p.m.,

St. Armands Fire Station, 47 N. Adams Drive, Sarasota.

  • Workshop No. 4: Wednesday, April 20, 4-6 p.m.,

Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W. Price Blvd., North Port.

  • Workshop No. 5: Wednesday, April 20, 5-6:30 p.m.,

Arlington Park Fire Station, 2070 Waldemere St., Sarasota.

  • Workshop No. 6: Thursday, April 21, 3-5 p.m.,

Venice City Hall Council Chambers, 401 W. Venice Ave., Venice.
