Sarasota County public libraries have a new, easy-to-use eBook and eAudiobooks lending service available from global leader Bibliotheca, the county has announced.

“The Cloud Library is a free app that includes thousands of electronic titles for all ages and links up to your library account,” a news release says. Patrons may read and check out books at home or on the go. The Cloud Library is compatible with many devices, including iPads and iPhones, Android tablets and phones, Kindle Fires, PCs and Macs (the materials may be transferred to a Nook or Kobo e-reader), the release points out.

The set-up is simple: “Download the app, log in one time with your Sarasota County public library card, and then you are set to read or listen to your favorite eBooks and eAudiobooks anytime, anywhere,” the release adds. A person may check out up to 10 titles at a time and keep them for up to 21 days, when the items automatically will expire from the person’s account, the release continues.

A patron may get started right away by finding the right app for his or her device and browsing the library’s collection at http://yourcloudlibrary.com.
