Early voting scheduled for Dec. 5 Florida House District 72 Special Democratic Primary

Early voting for the Dec. 5 House District 72 Special Democratic Primary will begin on Saturday, Nov. 25, and continue through Saturday, Dec. 2, Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner announced on Nov. 15.

Eligible voters may cast ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily at the any of the following three Sarasota locations, a news release points out:

  • Supervisor of Elections Office, located in the Sarasota County Terrace Building, 2001 Adams Lane in downtown Sarasota.
  • North Sarasota Library, located at 2801 Newtown Blvd. in Sarasota.
  • Westfield Sarasota Square Mall, located at 8201 S Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, in the common area in front of the former Macy’s department store.

Turner pointed out in the release that only voters who live within the boundaries of House District 72 and are registered as Democrats are eligible to cast ballots in the Democratic Primary.

Florida Law requires each voter to present photo and signature ID prior to casting a ballot. A voter who appears at a polling place without photo and signature ID will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot.
