Sample ballots for the Nov. 8 General Election are available online at www.SarasotaVotes.com, Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent has announced.

Voters may access a personalized sample ballot by clicking on the “Sample Ballots” link at the top of the homepage just above the Election Calendar and then entering the address of his or her residence when prompted, a news release explains.

Voters also may check their voter registration status, find their polling places and track their vote-by-mail (absentee) ballots with the “Precinct Finder” application, the release notes.

Additionally, the elections office will mail a personalized sample ballot on or about Oct. 12 to every registered voter, with the exception of those who have requested vote-by-mail (absentee) ballots, the release adds.

Voters are encouraged to study their sample ballots before making their formal choices, the release says. Sample ballots may be marked for reference and taken to an early voting site or a precinct on Election Day, the release notes.
