The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the owner of Extreme Nutrition & Smoothie, located at 4104 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota, for selling steroids out of his store, the office announced on Dec. 2.

Since October, undercover detectives have bought Oxandrolone and Stanozolol worth nearly $500 from Christopher Lilley, 31, a news release says. Detectives obtained a search warrant, which was executed at the store on Tuesday, Dec. 1, “and located more than 600 additional capsules of both drugs,” the release adds.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office charged Lilley with three counts of Sale of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, the release says.

This investigation was conducted jointly with the Sarasota Police Department, which also charged Lilley with two counts of Sale of a Controlled Substance, the release notes. Police Department detectives executed a search warrant on Dec. 1 at Lilley’s home — 417 Briggs Avenue, Apt. 721, in Sarasota; the release adds; additional charges are pending.
