Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) representatives want to hear from members of the public about how the bus service can improve, Sarasota County has announced.

As part of the SCAT’s ongoing comprehensive operations analysis, department staff will host two open house-style workshops to hear people’s comments, a county news release says. At any time during the events, residents may stop in to share their views on how to improve routes and service, the release adds.

The workshops’ schedule follows:

  • Sarasota workshop: 5-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8, Sarasota County Administration Center, 1660 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota.
  • Venice workshop: 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, Venice Community Center, 326 S. Nokomis Ave., Venice.
