Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Department’s popular Sunrise Beach Walks will begin again on Siesta Public Beach and Nokomis Beach on Feb. 3 and continue every Wednesday through March 30, the county has announced.

A one-time registration fee of $5 provides each participant an event T-shirt and a punch card to keep track of the number of walks, a news release says. People are invited to check in between 8 and 9:30 a.m., before or after a walk of at least 1-mile, to have their cards punched, the release adds.

After completing four walks, each registrant receives a drawstring sport pack “filled with goodies for your active lifestyle,” the release notes. County staff will have another gift for each participant who completes eight walks, the release says.
