Sheriff’s Office to host inaugural, virtual career fair on Wednesday, Feb. 17

Variety of positions available, from working as a 911 dispatcher to serving as a sworn law enforcement officer

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is inviting career seekers to the agency’s inaugural, virtual career fair, which has been planned to recruit prospective employees to fill positions across the agency.

On Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., “job seekers can log into the virtual career fair to discover a wide variety of professional opportunities,” a news release says. Those include 911 call taking and emergency dispatching, clerical and administrative support, sworn law enforcement, and corrections positions, the release notes.

Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to learn about benefits offered by the Sheriff’s Office, such as health, dental and vision care, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement options within the Florida Retirement System. Human Resources personnel will be on hand to answer questions through an interactive chat, the release notes.
