The public is invited to enjoy the next iteration of the City of Sarasota’s Fresh Friday events from 8 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, the City of Sarasota, the Downtown Improvement District and Next-Mark LLC have announced.

The outdoor, “pedestrian-only holiday-themed event” will feature free party favors, free dessert bites, holiday music, karaoke singing with an accompanying gift raffle, and snow machines, a news release says.

The desserts “come courtesy of State Street Eating House + Cocktails, Element: Steaks. Seafood. Pasta., and Whole Foods Market,” the release adds. “Drinks may be purchased within [the] event zone and enjoyed al fresco on State Street and Lemon Avenue,” the release notes.

The event will take place on State Street between Lemon Avenue and the State Street parking garage entrance.

Among other attractions planned are a Menorah lighting, a “big video screen with [a] special video message from Santa,” and a “step-and-repeat booth,” the release says.

Parking will be available in the State Street garage, the Palm Avenue garage, and on the street on Main Street, First Street, Orange Avenue, Palm Avenue, and Pineapple Avenue, the release adds.

Fresh Fridays is a first-Friday outdoor event series created “to showcase all the dining options, merchants, and recreational assets located within the city to further establish downtown Sarasota as a vibrant cultural hub,” the release explains. “These events are inclusive and always free, providing an opportunity for all members of our community to connect, socialize, and enjoy their city in new and dynamic ways.”
