The Phillippi Farmhouse Market will return on Wednesday, Oct. 5, for its eighth season of offering locally grown produce, including USDA-certified organic fruits and vegetables, Sarasota County has announced.

It is held on the grounds of Phillippi Estate Park, located at 5500 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.

This popular seasonal market is open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., October through April, a news release points out. A free tour of the historical Edson Keith Mansion also will be available, starting promptly at 10 a.m. each Wednesday during the market; tour participants are asked to meet on the mansion’s porch, the release adds.

The Phillippi Farmhouse Market features not only local produce but also food trucks, local artisans, plants and live music each week. Leashed dogs are welcome, the release says.
