Sarasota County Libraries launches mobile app

People may use it to search library catalogue, place holds and download materials

The Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources Department has launched an “all-in-one library mobile app, offering a new way to streamline your library experience,” the county has announced.

“The new app is compatible with Apple, Android and Amazon devices, enabling patrons to manage their accounts from the convenience of their devices,” a news release says. A person may use it to search the library catalogue, renew items, place holds and to download books, magazines and music, the release adds. “The app also allows you to view the event calendar, request a meeting room and browse resources for research and learning,” the release points out.

“We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and cultivating an innovative organization,” said Sarabeth Kalajian, director of the Libraries and Historical Resources Department, in the release. “This new app allows us enhance those services to the community,” she added in the release.

To download the free app, a person may search “Sarasota County Libraries” in the app store for the devices the person uses.
