American Advertising Federation Awards competition underway, with local entries due by Dec. 1

All local marketing and advertising professionals and students encouraged to submit work

The local chapter of the American Advertising Federation, known as AAF Suncoast, is calling on all local marketing and advertising professionals and students to submit their most creative work with the potential of winning 2023 Local American Advertising Awards.

Also known as the ADDY Awards, “the competition is the industry’s largest and most representative contest, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year,” a news release explains. The competition is offered through local American Advertising Federation (AAF) chapters, the release notes.

“Submissions are encouraged from both up-and-coming advertisers as well as experts across all advertising disciplines, regardless of career level,” the release points out.

Under the auspices of the AAF, the local chapter phase is the first of three tiers in the national competition, the release adds.

At the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions, the release continues. District ADDY winners then are forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards, the release says.

AAF Suncoast will be hosting a wine-tasting and information session for those interested in entering the 2023 contest this month, the release points out. “Learn all of the key tips and tricks on how to submit your work,” and how individuals can take advantage of the AAF Suncoast’s early bird special ($10 discount per entry) through Dec. 1, the release adds.

The competition officially opened on Nov. 1. Visit https://www.aaf-suncoast.com/enter-to-the-american-advertising-awards for more information or to submit entries.

“The American Advertising Awards hosted by AAF Suncoast is the ultimate showcase of creative talent right here in our community,” said AAF Suncoast President Christina Maksoud in the release. “We invite all potential businesses, trades services, agencies and members to sponsor and partner with us at this year’s event and throughout 2023 as a whole to support all of the creativity and strategy of our local advertising industry,” she added in the release.

Area businesses and agencies also are invited to support the 2023 ADDY Awards through sponsorship packages ranging from $375 to $3,000, the release notes.

These packages offer various opportunities for businesses to be put in the spotlight, not only during the awards ceremony, but also at annual events and through marketing materials, the release explains.
