The Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex’s outdoor tennis courts will be closed starting Monday, Dec. 14, the city has announced.

The city’s Parks and Recreation District staff will begin renovations of the courts, a news release explains. That will take approximately two months, the release notes. The project includes installation of a “new synthetic/acrylic surface and new ultra-heavy-duty polypropylene tennis nets,” the release says

During the closure, Parks and Recreation District staff members encourage tennis play at the following locations:

  • Gillespie Park, located at 710 N. Osprey Ave. in Sarasota.
  • Payne Park Tennis Center, located at 2050 Adams Lane.
  • Pioneer Park, located at 1260 12th St.
