As Sarasota County staff continues to work on reopening facilities during the novel coronavirus pandemic, staff announced more updates this week.

Knight Trail Park Pistol and Rifle Range reopened on June 10, a news release said.

However, every other shooting lane and associated target frame was removed, and 6-foot spacing on the range and the check-in walkway have been marked, the release noted.

Further, staff is conducting contactless transactions, the release added. No cash transactions will be handled; staff is accepting range passes and debit and credit cards only.

Additionally, all three Chemical Collection centers resumed regular operations and hours on June 8, the release pointed out.

“Appointments will no longer be required,” the release added. However, cash payments will not be accepted at this time — only credit and debit cards, the release noted.
