Registration open for Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s free Better Together event on March 16

Hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. in 1500 block of State Street in Sarasota

The Gulf Coast Community Foundation has announced that “registration has opened for its outdoor, free, fun, casual, reimagined event” Better Together, which is set for March 16.

Better Together will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. that day in the 1500 block of State Street in downtown Sarasota, a news release says. The Better Together State Street block party will include activities “that celebrate education, arts, health and human services, and the environment,” the release adds. The public is invited “to celebrate our nonprofit region and the impact of philanthropy,” the release continues.

Live performances “and fun for all ages” are planned, the release points out, with food and beverages available for purchase.

Parking spaces may be found in the City of Sarasota’s State Street parking garage, the release says.

Registration is requested for the event; that may be handled via the Eventbrite link here. To learn more about Better Together, visit: https://www.gulfcoastcf.org/bt23.

“Better Together serves as an opportunity for Gulf Coast’s donors, nonprofit partners, and  community members of all ages to come together to celebrate collaboration, community, and connection,” Foundation President and CEO Mark Pritchett said in the release. “This is a culmination of Gulf Coast’s impact for over 27 years,” he continued in the release.

The Foundation will have check-in tables for registration at either end of State Street, near the parking garage and Hyde Park Steakhouse, the release notes. “You do not need to bring your Eventbrite ticket with you to attend the event” the release points out.
