Sample ballots for the March 15 Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) are available on the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections (SOE) website, Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent has announced.

To access a personalized sample ballot, a Sarasota County voter may go to the website at www.SarasotaVotes.com and click on the “Precinct Finder” icon at the top of the homepage, a news release says. “When prompted, enter your residence address and follow the easy instructions to retrieve your personalized sample ballot,” the release adds.

Because Florida is a closed primary state, voters will need to select their party affiliation (Democratic, Republican or Nonpartisan) to access the correct ballot, the release points out.

On Feb. 24, the elections office will also be mailing a personalized sample ballot to every eligible voter, with the exception of those who request vote-by-mail (absentee) ballots, the release says.
