Children First of Sarasota, which is ranked in the top 1% of more than 1,800 Head Start programs nationwide, has launched its new website, the organization’s first redesign since 2016, Children First announced this week.

“We’re thrilled to have this new platform, which serves as a vital tool in our mission of strengthening children and families across our community,” said CEO Philip Tavill in a news release.

“With an emphasis on empowerment and education, the new website (https://www.childrenfirst.net) invites visitors to explore a wealth of impactful programs, inspiring success stories, and opportunities for community involvement,” the release points out.

“The redesign also improves accessibility, communication, and security for all of Children First’s most important communities, including parents, employees, volunteers, the Policy Council and Board of Directors, community partners, and donors,” the release adds.

Among the changes are clearer navigation, a streamlined look, and a staff and board portal, “which bolsters security, protecting sensitive information and safeguarding data,” the release notes.

The website enhances communication through resource access, the release says. Additionally, a portal for families is in development, “promising a secure space to access personalized resources and support while maintaining privacy.”

The Truist Foundation provided funding for the website redesign as part of its “long-term commitment to supporting Children First and its mission,” the release says. Captivation Agency lent its “expertise and creativity to design and develop the new website,” the release adds.
