The Atlanta Braves will host a Spring Training season ticket launch event on Saturday, June 16, at the George Mullen Activity Center in North Port, the team has announced.

The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.

“This will be the first public opportunity for fans to place a deposit for 2020 Spring Training season tickets,” a news release says.

“We are looking forward to meeting and interacting with everyone on Saturday,” said Mike Dunn, the Braves’ vice president of Florida operations, in the release. “This will be our first public event where fans can put a deposit down on their season tickets and have a little fun at the same time.”

Family-friendly activities will be part of the June 16 festivities, the release notes: music, face painting, hourly giveaways, pictures with life-size bobbleheads and free food.

Additionally, a Chipper Jones replica jersey will be given to the persons who put down the first 500 deposits for Spring Training tickets, the release points out.

The Braves are scheduled to play the final game of their 2019 Spring Training season in the new West Villages complex. However, the first full Spring Training season will be conducted in 2020.
