First to be held at Venice Yacht Club, while second will be conducted at Venice Performing Arts Center
On Sept. 24, Bravo TV’s Below Deck star Capt. Lee Rosbach will appear at two events in Sarasota County to put a spotlight on his book Running Against the Tide, Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources staff has announced.
Tickets for the first event, which will be held in partnership with the Venice Yacht Club and the Friends of the William H. Jervey Jr. Venice Public Library, are available for purchase at the Friends’ bookstore, the release notes. “This meet and greet offers the chance to chat with Rosbach and enjoy refreshments,” it adds.
The second event, which will be conducted in cooperation with the staff of the Venice Performing Arts Center, will be free and open to the public, the release continues. No registration or ticket will be required, the release says, but participation will be on a first-come, first-seated basis.
These types of events highlight the Libraries and Historical Resources Department’s “ongoing mission of offering modern and interesting learning opportunities for patrons,” department director Renee Di Pilato pointed out in the release.
“As the services offered by libraries continue to evolve, our goal is to remain on the forefront of those efforts,” she said, adding, “This is going to be a fun, interesting bit of Hollywood glamour right here in our backyard.”
The first event is scheduled at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Venice Yacht Club, which stands at 1330 Tarpon Center Drive.
The second event is planned from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Venice Performing Arts Center, which stands at 1 Indian Ave.
