Marie Selby Botanical Gardens will present its 45th Annual Juried Photographic Exhibition from Aug. 28 through Sept. 30, the Sarasota destination announced on July 21.

This year’s exhibition again will be conducted virtually, “with digital photos entered through an online portal and all accepted submissions displayed in an online gallery for the duration of the show,” a news release explains. The open call for submissions will run from Aug. 4 through Aug. 11, the release adds.

Awards will be announced online on Aug. 28, the release notes.

“The Annual Juried Photo Exhibition has become a cherished celebration of the natural splendor found across our two campuses,” said Jennifer O. • “Plant Portraits— Capture the character of the plants that are the real stars of the show at Selby Gardens.
  • “Birds and the Bees— Highlight the wonderful wildlife at the Downtown Sarasota and Historic Spanish Point campuses.
