Effective as of April 30, Sarasota County’s Planning and Development Services Department has begun offering curbside permitting services at its facilities located at 1001 Sarasota Center Blvd. in Sarasota and 4000 S. Tamiami Trail in Venice, the department has announced.

Curbside permitting will be available for those services that require mandatory on-site assistance, an update on the county’s COVID-19 webpages says. When using curbside services, customers will need to remotely sign in using the QLess app, the release notes.

They “will experience increased wait times,” the release cautions.

The county website offering COVID-19 resources does emphasize for Planning and Development, “The health and safety of our clients and staff is important to us. Consistent with the guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the State of Florida and County leadership, we are conducting business by using online service options, phone and email.”

Anyone with questions may call the county Contact Center at 941-861-5000.
