Big trucks and two egg hunts are in store for children on April 15 at the 21st annual Big Truck Day EGGstravaganza, sponsored by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Department.

Admission is free for the event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Twin Lakes Park, located at 6700 Clark Road in Sarasota, the county has announced.

Children will have an opportunity to pull the levers and honk the horns on emergency vehicles, dump trucks and buses, a news release points out. The event also will feature two egg hunts — at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Separate egg hunt areas will be provided: one for youngsters ages 4 and younger and another for those 5 and older, the release notes. Families will be able to enjoy photo ops with the Easter Bunny and children’s games, as well, the release adds.
