Early voting scheduled for Aug. 18 Primary

Dates are Aug. 8-16, with five sites available

Early voting for the Aug. 18 Primary Election will begin on Saturday, Aug. 8, and continue through Sunday, Aug. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, according to the schedule Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner has announced.

Citizens may vote at any one of the following locations throughout Sarasota County, a news release points out:

  • Supervisor of Elections Office within the Terrace Building, located at 2001 Adams Lane in downtown Sarasota.
  • Supervisor of Elections Office at the R.L. Anderson Administration Building, located at 4000 Tamiami Trail S. in Venice.
  • Supervisor of Elections Office in Biscayne Plaza, located at 13640 Tamiami Trail in North Port.
  • Westfield Sarasota Square mall, located at 8201 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
  • Betty J. Johnson North Sarasota Library, located at 2801 Newtown Blvd. in Sarasota.

“Voters who choose to vote early must present photo and signature identification upon check-in at the early voting site and prior to voting,” the release points out. “Voters who do not present the required ID will be offered a provisional ballot,” it adds.
