Fiesta T-shirts sell out fast

Siesta Key Association members Bill Irish (left) and his wife, Linda, join SKA Vice President Peter van Roekens during the 2012 Siesta Fiesta to help with T-shirt sales. Van Roekens reported that members of the Siesta Key Village Association and the SKA sold 252 shirts this year. The design by Cindy Clifton was so popular, apparently, that the two organizations ran out of several sizes and styles on the first day of the two-day, annual fine arts show.

Van Roekens also joked that he was fortunate no love bugs showed up until the second day of Fiesta this year, as he had promised none of the clingy pests would make an appearance. The love bugs put a bit of a damper on the 2011 Siesta Fiesta.
