Agency seeking information from the public
The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred about 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, in the 1500 block of 20th Street in Sarasota, the agency has announced.
People were inside the structure at the location at the time of the incident, but no injuries were reported, a news release pointed out.
The 1500 block of 20th Street is east of Central Avenue, a map shows. Homes occupy most of the block, according to an aerial view of the area. The only business on the block is Newtown Motors, whose address is on North Orange Avenue.
“There is no threat to the public,” the Police Department added.
