Temporary measure necessary for completion of work on Phase 2 of Bay Park
On Monday, July 6, a temporary closure of Van Wezel Way between Boulevard of the Arts and the entrance to the Sarasota Garden Club in downtown Sarasota will begin as the leaders of The Bay Park work to complete construction on Phase 2, City of Sarasota staff announced late this week.
“While the temporary closure is in effect, access will remain open to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and The Bay Park,” a news release does point out. Visitors will be able to access the facilities via the north entrance to The Bay, at the intersection of 10th Street and Van Wezel Way, the release adds.
Van Wezel Way is expected to fully reopen on Sept. 18, after Phase 2 has been completed, the release says.
