Supervisor of elections announces polling place changes

Affected voters to receive new cards with the appropriate information

Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent has announced several changes in polling locations, effective with the Aug. 30 primary.

The list follows:

  • Precincts 101, 109 and 111 will vote at Light of the World International Church, located at 3809 Chapel Drive in Sarasota. (The church is a new polling place for Precinct 111, which was at Crossroads, located at 4726 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, a news release says. For Precincts 101 and 109, this “is only a polling place name change from Bayshore Mennonite, the release explains.)
  • Precinct 227 will vote at Westfield Southgate Mall, located at 3501 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.

(Voters formerly cast their ballots at the Church of the Incarnation, located at 2929 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota.)

  • Precincts 329 and 339 will vote at the Supervisor of Elections Office in Biscayne Plaza, located at 13640 Tamiami Trail in North Port.

(Voters in those precincts formerly cast ballots at San Pedro Catholic Church, located at 14380 Tamiami Trail in North Port.)

  • Precinct 411 will vote at The Devyn Event Venue, located at 7113 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.

(Voters of that precinct formerly cast ballots at St. Michael the Archangel Church, located at 5394 Midnight Pass Road on Siesta Key.)

The elections office is sending new voter cards, containing new polling place information, to all affected voters, the release points out.
