Maximum funding per project is $10,000
Visit Sarasota County is accepting applications for a marketing grant program involving projects that are planned between Dec. 15 and Sept. 15, 2019, the county’s tourism agency has announced.
Applications are due to Visit Sarasota County by 4 p.m. on Nov. 29, a news release emphasizes.
“The purpose of the program is to stimulate and enhance the tourism marketing of programs, projects and events in Sarasota County,” the release explains. “Municipalities, local agencies, business associations and nonprofit organizations located in Sarasota County are eligible to apply.”
“The objective of this program is to provide marketing support for innovative and collaborative ideas that drive tourism to Sarasota County,” the release says. It is Visit Sarasota County’s intention, the release adds, that the marketing and promotion expenditures will be made outside of Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto and Charlotte counties to drive overnight visitors to the Sarasota County.
The maximum funding per project is $10,000, the release points out.
