Savor Sarasota Week to return June 1

79 restaurants plan to participate in Visit Sarasota County event

Seventy-nine restaurants are on board to participate when the 12th annual Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week returns June 1 to 14, Sarasota County tourism leaders have announced.

“Hosted by Visit Sarasota County (VSC), this much-anticipated culinary celebration began in 2005 and has grown to include many of Sarasota’s acclaimed restaurants,” a news release points out. Throughout this year’s Savor Sarasota event, guests may enjoy $32 pre-fixe, three-course dinner menus and multi-course lunch menus for just $16, “allowing visitors a chance to sample eclectic offerings of Sarasota’s diverse cuisine,” the release adds.

Among the participating restaurants are a mix of annual favorites and new participants, the release continues. Eleven restaurants were new to the program as of the VSC announcement late last week. They are Angelo’s, Armand’s Place, Beulah Restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings, Café BarBossa, CasAntica, C’est La Vie, C’est La Vie downtown, Flavio’s Brick Oven and Bar, Jack Dusty, La Scarpetta, Lila, Mona Lisa Restaurant, Paris Bistro, Social Eatery and Bar, Shore, Sophie’s at Saks Fifth Avenue and Valentino Pizzeria Trattoria.

Returning participants this year are 62 Bistrot, Alpine Steakhouse, Andrea’s Restaurant, Apollonia Grill, Barnacle Bill’s Seafood, Bijou Café, Blue Rooster, Brio Tuscan Grill, Café L’Europe, Café Gabbiano, Café Venice Restaurant & Wine Bar, Captain Brian’s Seafood Market Restaurant, The Capital Grille, Carmel Café & Wine Bar, Chart House, Chianti Ristorante, Crow’s Nest, Currents, Daiquiri Deck Raw Bar, Dry Dock Waterfront Grill, Duval’s, Fresh.Local.Seafood, Euphemia Haye Restaurant, Fins @ Sharky’s, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, H2O Bistro, Harry’s Continental Kitchens, Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, Kona Grill; Libby’s Café & Bar, Lolita Tartine, Louies Modern, Made, Main Street Trattoria, Mattison’s City Grille, Mattison’s Forty-One, The Melting Pot,  Michael’s On East, Miguel’s, Mozaic, Muse at the Ringling, Off the Hook, Ophelia’s on the Bay, Red Clasico Sarasota, Roessler’s Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Saltwater Café, Salute!, Sardinia Restaurant, Season’s 52, Selva Grill, Siesta Key Oyster Bar, Stonewood Grill and Tavern North, Stonewood Grill and Tavern South, Surf Shack and Terrance, Table Creekside, The Rosemary, The Starlite Room, Tommy Bahama and Tsunami Sushi & Hibachi Grill.

This year, a free mobile app is available to help diners plan their eating adventures, the release adds. The Savor Sarasota App includes a “Favorites” feature that allows users to create their own lists of restaurants they would like to check out, the release notes.
