Session to begin at 10 a.m. in Commission Chambers within City Hall

At 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, the Sarasota City Commission will hold a workshop to discuss options for the city’s parking program, city staff is reminding the public.
The session will be conducted in the City Commission Chambers within City Hall, which stands at 1565 First St. in downtown Sarasota, a news release notes.
“The City Commission’s adopted rules of procedure do not allow public comment or Commission decisions to be made at workshops,” the release points out.

On Aug. 24, the release continues, staff of the city Parking Division held an open house, during which “a detailed presentation about parking operations and the budget” was provided. “Written questions and comments collected during the open house will be included in materials provided to the City Commission for the upcoming parking workshop,” the release says.
