Capt. Adam Kaskey of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has graduated from the Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) Commanders Academy as a member of Class 18, Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman has announced.

A Criminal Investigations Bureau officer, Kaskey, completed the academy at the Florida Sheriffs Association headquarters in Tallahassee on April 24, a news release says. “This program is recognized as the premier course of executive study for mid- to-upper-level criminal justice leaders,” the release explains. “It was designed by sheriffs to ensure that these leaders have the background and training to carry out their responsibilities in the agencies they serve,” the release adds.

“Building a stronger organization from within is a core priority, and the Commanders Academy plays a key role in achieving that,” said Sheriff Hoffman in the release. “Through this training, our leaders gain the insight, skills, and confidence necessary to lead with integrity and meet the ever-changing demands of our profession.”
