Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jeffrey Vajdik graduated on May 23 from the Florida Sheriffs Association’s (FSA) Commanders Academy as a member of Class 16, Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman has announced.

Vajdik “completed the academy at the Florida Sheriffs Association headquarters in Tallahassee,” a news release points out.

“This program was designed by sheriffs to ensure that these leaders have the background and training to carry out their responsibilities in the agencies they serve,” the release explains. “This FSA curriculum is recognized as the premier course of executive study for mid-to-upper-level criminal justice leaders,” the release adds.

“The Commanders Academy is a training tool we have used to reinforce our agency from within,” said Sheriff Hoffman in the release. “The agency and our community will reap the benefits of this level of training and strong leadership in law enforcement.”
