As part of a major initiative focused on housing affordability, Sarasota County is seeking community comments on the topic through a newly launched online survey, the county has announced.

“The county’s initiative is focused on identifying gaps in the housing mix between supply and demand and developing and implementing creative solutions to address those gaps,” a news release says. “The survey seeks to evaluate existing impediments, make use of opportunities and supplement ongoing policies to increase the supply of housing within the county that is affordable to those residents with moderate to lower incomes (i.e. workforce housing),” the release adds.
