The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, to present alternatives in its project development and environment (PD&E) study for the U.S. 41 corridor from Ringling Boulevard to Main Street, the department has announced.

“The proposed intersection improvements, which include roundabouts, are part of an overall transportation master plan by the City of Sarasota,” a news release explains.

The meeting will be conducted in the Sarasota Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. The hotel is located at 1000 Boulevard of the Arts in downtown Sarasota.

The session is planned from 5 to 7 p.m., the news release says.

It will feature an open house format with a continuous video presentation, the release notes. Project staff will display the plans and answer questions, the release adds.

Complimentary parking is located in the hotel parking garage and directly behind the hotel, the release points out.
