Sarah Kenniff one of only 25 people statewide to hold the designation
Sarah Kenniff, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office’s law enforcement accreditation manager, has earned the designation of Certified Accreditation Professional (CAP) from the Executive Board of the Florida Police Accreditation Commission (FLA-PAC), Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight has announced.
“FLA-PAC promotes the concept of the voluntary certification for all accreditation professionals in the criminal justice field,” a news release notes. However, it continues, “[T]he certification focuses exclusively on the individual and is an indication of current proficiency in a particular criminal justice field. Accreditation professionals who become CAPs are distinguished as individuals who have reached one of the highest levels of achievement and recognition in their field,” the release adds.
Kenniff, who joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2006, is one of only 25 Certified Accreditation Professionals statewide, the release points out.
“I am extremely proud of Sarah, her diligence, and commitment to furthering the professionalism of our agency,” said Knight in the release. “We hold accreditation in very high regard, which is why individuals like Sarah are trusted to lead and manage the process.”
