Sept. 18 the deadline
The Opportunities For All (OFA) initiative, led by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, is continuing to take applications for the Business Assistance Funds Program, the Chamber announced on Aug. 8.
“This program aims to provide crucial support to minority small business owners and non-profit organizations, empowering them with the necessary resources to foster growth and prosperity within our local business community,” the release explains. In the previous year, the program granted $100,000 to minority businesses, the release adds.
“Applicants must be registered with the state and actively engaged in providing services and programs that benefit local residents,” the release points out. “Interested parties are invited to submit their applications online,” with the portal accessible until Sept. 18, the release says. Start-ups and those in business for fewer than three years may qualify for up to $5,000; businesses open for three years or more may qualify for up to $10,000, the release notes.
The Opportunities For All program has been made possible through funding from the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, the release adds.
