Robert L. Taylor Community Complex to be site of the free event
The Fourth Annual Trunk or Treat will be held at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex (RLTCC) on Friday, Oct. 28, at 5:30 p.m., followed by a family-friendly outdoor movie shown at 7 p.m., the City of Sarasota has announced.
The Taylor Complex is located at 1845 34th St. in Sarasota.
“Trunk or Treat is a free, fun, safe community event where children and families can don their best Halloween costumes and enjoy ghoulish activities,” a city news release says. “Residents are invited to trim their vehicle trunks with spooky decorations and hand out tasty treats,” the release notes.
In addition to trick-or-treating, the festivities will include fun games, bounce houses and a haunted house, the release adds. Trunk or Treat will conclude with a moonlight screening of the family-friendly movie Goosebumps, shown outdoors on the new multi-purpose artificial turf field at RLTCC, the release continues.
To participate in the trunk-decorating contest, vehicles must be registered by Thursday, Oct. 27, the release stresses. Interested persons may stop by RLTCC to register their vehicles, or they may call 954-4182, points out.
