Event set for Oct. 8 at Twin Lakes Park
Sarasota County Master Gardeners will hold their 11th Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Twin Lakes Park, the organization has announced.
The park is located at 6700 Clark Road in Sarasota.
“Master Gardeners will be on hand to provide gardening tips and help with plant selection,” a news release says. Admission will be free.
Proceeds from sales will benefit the Sarasota County Master Gardeners’ chapter of the Friends of Sarasota County Parks, the release notes. Florida Master Gardener is a program of the University of Florida operated through University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension, the release adds. It “supports demonstration landscapes and educational outreach projects in Sarasota County,” the release notes.
Plant purchases may be made by cash or check.
