Early voting for the March 14 municipal elections will begin on Monday, March 6, and continue through Saturday, March 11, Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner announced on March 2.

The March 14 elections will be the City of North Port Special Primary, the City of Sarasota First Election and the Town of Longboat Key General Election.

During the early voting period, Turner said in a news release, eligible voters may cast their ballots between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily at any of the following three locations:

  • Supervisor of Elections Office located in the Sarasota County Terrace Building at 2001 Adams Lane in downtown Sarasota.
  • Elections office in Biscayne Plaza, located at 13640 Tamiami Trail in North Port.
  • Longboat Key Town Hall, located at 501 Bay Isles Road on Longboat Key.

Florida Law requires voters to present photo and signature ID upon entering the polling place and prior to voting, the release points out. A voter who appears at a polling place without photo and signature ID will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot, the release explains.
