Early voting timeline announced for the Feb. 13 Florida House District 72 Special Election

Early voting for the Feb. 13 House District 72 Special Election will begin Saturday, Feb. 3, and continue through Saturday, Feb. 10, Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner has announced.

Voters residing in House District 72 may cast ballots between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily at any of the following three Sarasota locations, a news release points out:

  • Supervisor of Elections Office: Sarasota County Terrace Building, located at 2001 Adams Lane in downtown Sarasota.
  • North Sarasota Library, located at 2801 Newtown Blvd. in Sarasota.
  • Westfield Sarasota Square Mall, located at 8201 S Tamiami Trail in Sarasota (common area in front of former Macy’s department store).

Florida Law requires each voter to present photo and signature ID prior to voting, the release points out. A voter who appears at a polling place without photo and signature ID will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot, the release adds.
