Georgia-based commercial real estate development firm S.J. Collins Enterprises has fully leased University Station, a 53,746-square-foot commercial project that will be anchored by Sarasota’s second Whole Foods Market, the firm has announced.

Whole Foods plans to open its new 41,000-square-foot store at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, a news release says.

Located at the southwest corner of University Parkway and Honore Avenue in Sarasota County, University Station will have a larger version of the market than the one in downtown Sarasota, the release adds.

The stores already open in the new shopping center include Great Expressions Dental Centers, Greenway Dry Cleaner, Wawa, Zoë’s Kitchen and one of the largest Tesla Supercharger stations in Florida, the release points out. Set to open soon are Banfield Pet Hospital and Lee Nails.

“We are looking forward to the grand opening of University Station and the festivities surrounding the opening of Whole Foods,” said Jeff Garrison, partner at S.J. Collins Enterprises, in the release. “The dynamic retail mix plus the addition of sought-after amenities that come with companies like Wawa and Tesla will be a fantastic addition to this location just between Sarasota and Manatee counties,” Garrison added in the release.
