La Primavera Supermarket on U.S. 301 in Sarasota will host a first- and second-dose COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday, Sept. 11, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County (DOH-Sarasota), the City of Sarasota and The Mallard Law Firm, the city has announced.

The walk-up clinic will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at La Primavera, which stands at 901 N. Washington Blvd.

“Second doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be available to individuals age 12 and older who received their first dose at La Primavera’s clinic on Aug. 21,” a news release notes.

First doses of the vaccine also will be available, the release adds.

“No appointments are necessary. Bilingual Spanish speakers will be on site to help coordinate the event,” the release points out.

“We’ve had success with these smaller events in teaming with community partners, and we’re hoping for the same great turnout on Saturday for folks to get first and second doses of the vaccine,” Mayor Hagen Brody said in the release. “Partnering with credible community institutions like La Primavera has proven helpful in overcoming hesitancy issues for some who are now making a wise and informed decision to get vaccinated,” Brody added in the release.
