Lido Island Grill to host first ArmaLido Community Choir and Sing-Along on Dec. 13

Second event planned for Dec. 14 on St. Armands Circle

Laszlo Bevardi, executive chef of Bevardi’s Salute Restaurant and Lido Island Grill in Sarasota, will host the first ArmaLido Community Choir Sing Along on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 5 p.m. at the Lido Pavilion, he has announced.

The Pavilion is located at 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive in Sarasota (34236).

A second concert is planned for Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 5 p.m. on St. Armands Circle, a news release notes. Both sunset events, which will be free and open to the public, have been planned as opportunities for people “to connect with old friends and to meet new ones,” the release says.

The choir will comprise members of “the ArmaLido community group, the St Armand’s Lutheran Church, and island neighborhood residents and representatives,” the release explains: Dona Blake, Debbie Comer, Diane Pate, Kathryn and Lee Edstrom, Karyn and Ernie Smith, Mary Harper, Judith Mathies, Kathy Kussy, Maryanne Maier and Renate Mamula.

The choir invites everyone to attend the events, “to create holiday music and lift your spirits,” the release adds. Attendees will be able to sing along “or just enjoy the Choir!”

The organizers of the events are the St. Armands Key Lutheran Church, the Lido Key Residents Association, the St. Armands Residents Association, the Lido Shores Property Owners Association, the St. Armands Circle Association, the Sarasota Harbor Association and Mote Marine, the release notes.

Along with the Dec. 13 event, the Lido Island Grill will feature half-price specials on certain menu items, along with select beer and wine choices, the release adds.

“We are so happy to host this First Annual holiday choral event at Lido Island Grill this season,” said Chef Bevardi in the release. “I think the community really deserves to gather and enjoy the festive atmosphere, beautiful live music, twinkling lights, holiday decorations, cheer, and, of course, delicious house-made fresh menu items. We can’t wait,” he adds.
