Staff of Sarasota County and municipalities, along with environmental experts, to discuss wide array of topics

On Thursday, May 8, members of the public are invited to a Community Conversations on Hurricane Preparedness event with representatives of Sarasota County and its partners, which will be held at Riverview High School in Sarasota, county staff has announced.
Riverview stands at 1 Ram Way. The doors will open at 5 p.m., with the program scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., a news release says. The county website points out, “Attendees should arrive early to pass through the school security system.”
“Hear from county departments, municipalities and environmental experts about personal and home preparation, evacuation procedures, shelter options and special needs, as well as vital resources and what to expect from national forecasting models in 2025,” the release adds.
“The event is free,” the release points out, “but registration is encouraged.”
The release further notes, “Questions for event panelists will be collected as part of the registration process. Learn more at scgov.net/CommunityConversations.”
