Motorists advised of off-ramp closures as crews work to complete Clark Road diverging diamond interchange with I-75

Closures to have begun night of Aug. 15 and to continue through night of Aug. 22

As work continues on the new diverging diamond at Interstate 75 and Clark Road in Sarasota, crews this week have been addressing the ramps and undertaking paving, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced.

An FDOT consultant who is assisting with communications about that project has issued the following advisories:

  • From 11 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, to 4:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, crews were to close the I-75 southbound off-ramp to State Road (SR) 72/Clark Road. Motorists were advised to follow posted detours or identify alternate routes.
  • From 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, to 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, crews will close the I-75 southbound off-ramp to Clark Road.
  • From 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, to 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, crews will close the Clark Road southbound on-ramp to I-75.
  • From 11 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, to 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, crews will close the Clark Road southbound on-ramp to I-75.
  • From 11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, to 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, crews will close the I-75 northbound off-ramp to Clark Road.
