Voters residing in Precinct 435 in the city of Venice will be voting at a new polling location for the Aug. 28 Primary Election, Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner has announced.

The new location, which will be temporary just for the Aug. 28 Primary, will be the Venetian Golf and River Club’s Welcome Center, located at 102 Pesaro Drive in North Venice, a news release points out.

Turner also has announced a name change for the polling place in Precinct 529, effective with the Aug. 28 Primary, the release adds. That polling place will be the Center of Hope Neighborhood Church, located at 2395 Shamrock Drive in Venice, the release says.

The Precinct 529 polling place previously was named Venice Bible Church, the release explains. “The address is unchanged,” the release notes.

Turner said all registered voters living within the Precinct 435 boundaries will receive from the elections office a post card notice via mail that will contain the temporary polling place information. Registered voters in Precinct 529 will receive a new Voter Information Card informing them of the name change, the release adds.

Voters also may call the elections office at 861-8619 for more information.
