On Saturday, April 4, the Resilience Incubator in Sarasota will present the first Suncoast Curtain Call, “a vibrant new community event uplifting local artistry while championing environmental resilience across the Suncoast,” the organization has announced.

To be held at the Sarasota Garden Club, this celebration will bring together local performers, nonprofit organizations and community members “for an evening of creativity, connection, and purpose,” a news release explains.

The Sarasota Garden Club stands at 1131 Boulevard of the Arts in downtown Sarasota.

“Suncoast Curtain Call will feature a lively mix of musicians and performance artists from across the region, highlighting the depth and diversity of local talent,” the release continues. “The afternoon — designed with families in mind” — will feature “a dynamic mix of musicians and performance artists,” the release adds. Then, at 7:30 p.m., the performances will “shift to slightly more mature themes,” it notes. Community karaoke will begin at 8 p.m., with event-goers invited to take the stage for their moments in the spotlight.

Further, the release says, attendees will be able to “savor offerings from local food trucks Simply Greek by Wynnberry and Dave’s Neapolitan Pizza, enjoy a cash bar, and experience a welcoming community gathering rooted in sustainability and shared imagination.” General admission will be $10 per person.

“Adding to the excitement,” the release points out, “the event will be emceed by Jasmin Graham, a local musical theatre artist, nationally recognized marine biologist, award‑winning science communicator, and co‑founder of Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS). Known for her groundbreaking work in shark and ray ecology and her leadership in advancing equity in STEM, Graham brings a dynamic presence and a passion for community engagement that perfectly complements the event’s focus on creativity, conservation, and collective action.”

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available, the release adds. Sponsors will receive recognition aligned with their selected level of support, “along with day‑of access perks,” the release says.

“Every contribution directly fuels the Resilience Incubator’s work to advance environmental sustainability, collaborative problem‑solving, and community‑powered solutions across the Suncoast,” it notes.

Opened in May 2024 on the second floor of the Suncoast Blood Center, which stands at 1760 Mound St. in Sarasota, the Resilience Incubator “serves as a collaborative hub for numerous local nonprofits,” the release explains. “The space fosters cross‑organizational partnership on shared priorities, including protecting local water resources, addressing climate change, and advancing community‑driven initiatives that strengthen regional resilience,” it adds.
