The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) has expanded services at its South County location in Venice, the agency announced on June 3.

Located at 4531 Annex Road, the South County office reopened in January, a news release notes. It offers walk-in services to county residents, including the processing of summonses and subpoenas, and “writs of garnishment, possession, and replevin,” the release adds.

As of June 4, the location has begun providing fingerprinting services on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and on Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m., the release says. Those will “include both Live Scan and traditional ink prints (ORI numbers are required for Live Scan printing),” the release points out. “The cost for this service is $5 per person for Concealed Weapon Permit prints and $15 for all other types of prints,” the release adds.

The Sheriff’s Office accepts cash only for fingerprinting services; no credit cards, checks, or money orders, the release emphasizes. “Exact change is preferred.”

“As we see the southern part of the county continue to grow, we are happy to provide more services in a more convenient location,” Sheriff Hoffman said in the release. “We continue to do our best to serve all of Sarasota County effectively and efficiently.”
