Cancellation of Tuesday collections a result of concerns about Tropical Storm Elsa
The City of Sarasota’s trash, recycling and yard waste pickups that were cancelled for customers on July 6 have been rescheduled for Saturday, July 10, the city has announced.
The Tuesday cancellation came as city staff assessed the impending threat of Tropical Storm Elsa, a news release explains.
Regular trash collection schedules were expected to resume Wednesday, July 7, and continue throughout the week, the release adds.
