Event planned from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 at Newtown Estates Park
Children age 12 and under and their families are invited to attend the 15th annual Breakfast with Santa from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, at Newtown Estates Park, Sarasota County staff has announced.
Hosted by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources staff, this free event will feature a buffet breakfast, holiday music, a toy giveaway, holiday crafts, a gift raffle “and of course, a visit from Santa,” a county news release says.
Newtown Estates Park is located at 2800 Newtown Blvd. in Sarasota.
Anyone interested in contributing to the event may take an unwrapped toy to one of the following locations, the release points out:
- Newtown Estates Park, located at 2800 Newtown Blvd. in Sarasota.
- Twin Lakes Park, located at 6700 Clark Road in Sarasota.
- Venice Community Center, located at 326 S. Nokomis Ave. in Venice.
- Woodmere Park, located at 3951 Woodmere Park Blvd. in Venice.
- Fruitville Library, located at 100 Coburn Road in Sarasota.
- Gulf Gate Library, located at 7112 Curtiss Ave. in Sarasota.
- Betty J. Johnson North Sarasota Library, located at 2801 Newtown Blvd. in Sarasota.
- Sarasota County Administration Center, located at 1660 Ringling Blvd. in downtown Sarasota.
Donations will be accepted until Dec. 17, the news release points out.
